What We’re Looking For

We’re open to writers of all levels, with or without an agent. Submit your Query today for review, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

We’re currently open for submissions. We’re looking for books that fit the following criteria:

  • We’re looking for original, full length (80K+), speculative fiction novels
    • We prefer fantasy books, but are open to all speculative fiction.
    • We are currently primarily targeting adult fiction, but may be open to YA or middle grade in the future. If you feel your work is on the edge, submit anyways!
    • Though we publish nonfiction and children’s books as well, we are not open to submissions for those titles at this time.
  • We love robust, in-depth world building, characters that make you feel, and mysteries, thrillers, adventures, or even a cozy slice-of-life.
  • Books may be standalone, or part of a larger series.
  • Ultimately, we’re looking for the best stories to tell.
  • At this time, it is unlikely we’ll be able to offer advances against royalties.
  • We prefer manuscripts that have not been previously published in any format; however, we may be willing to re-publish self-published novels in specific circumstances. Let us know your situation in your submission.

You can view our royalty rates in our calculator tool that helps visualize your potential earnings.

Our Evaluation Process

We evaluate submissions using a combination of automated tools we’ve built in house as well as editorial judgement. Our tools break down your manuscript into core elements like word usage, story beats, and literary scores that make our analysis easier. From there, promising manuscripts move into a screening phase where our editorial team will review and make a final decision.

These tools are made available for free to authors we work with to help aid the editing process.
